This is a first course in statistics and probability. Analysis of single and bivariate data, algebraic and graphical analysis, sample statistics, probability, probability distributions, sample variability, sample distributions, the Central Limit Theorem, estimation and hypothesis testing, correlation and regression are covered.
Emphasis is on applications throughout the course.
Prerequisites
MATH 129L or MATH 137L or MATH 142L with a grade of C- or better or competence demonstrated on math placement exam.
