HOS114L: Dining Room Management I

This course provides students with an introduction to proper table management while providing excellent “front-of-house” customer service at The Community Table. A six-hour working lab will take place where students will serve a multi course lunch to the dining public in our student-run restaurant. This class emphasizes proper steps in table service, examines various dining room career positions and utilizes different menus and service styles.  This class involves the use of TOAST point-of-sale and Open Table reservations with students receiving dual certifications in both systems.
